Assistant Professor -English

The Department of Science and Humanities at JKKN College of Engineering and Technology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Assistant Professor to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student success. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of English courses and will contribute to the departments ongoing efforts to maintain a high level of academic excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate level English courses
• Develop and update course materials and assessments
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication
• Mentor and advise students
• Participate in department and college committees
• Contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior faculty members

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in English Literature or related field from an accredited institution
• Significant teaching experience at the university level
• Strong research record in English Literature, with a focus on modern and contemporary literature
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education
• Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or professional settings
