Assistant Professor / Associate Professor English

Job description

The School of Liberal Arts at Uttaranchal University is looking for a highly motivated and experienced English Assistant / Associate Professor to join our English faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student success. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of English courses and will contribute to the school s ongoing efforts to maintain a high level of academic excellence.

Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and graduate level English courses

Develop and update course materials and assessments

Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication

Mentor and advise students

Participate in department and college committees

Contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives

Provide leadership and guidance to junior faculty members

Qualifications:

Ph D in English Literature or related field from an accredited institution

Significant teaching experience at the university level

Strong research record in English Literature, with a focus on modern and contemporary literature

Experience in curriculum development and assessment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education

Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or professional settings

Salary for all positions will be based on qualification and experience and will not be a limiting factor for the right candidate
