Job Description

Purpose/Objective

    Adani Defence & Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager – Supply Chain to support procurement, vendor management, logistics, inventory planning, and supply chain operations for its Missile Systems and Guided Weapon Programs. The role requires close coordination with Engineering, Production, Quality, Program Management, and Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components critical for missile manufacturing and integration.

    a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Key Responsibilities Supply Chain & Procurement - Manage end-to-end supply chain activities for missile and weapon system programs. - Coordinate procurement of mechanical, electrical, electronics, propulsion, guidance, and structural components. - Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials as per project schedules. - Support supplier selection, RFQ management, bid analysis, and contract execution. - Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock availability for production requirements. Vendor Development & Management - Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers. - Identify alternate sources to mitigate supply chain risks. - Coordinate supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews. - Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams for supplier qualification and approvals. Planning & Logistics - Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on production forecasts. - Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities. - Ensure compliance with transportation, export-control, and defence procurement regulations. - Monitor lead times and proactively address supply disruptions. Coordination & MIS - Generate and maintain supply chain MIS reports, procurement dashboards, and inventory analytics. - Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, supplier performance, and procurement savings. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve program milestones. Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and defence industry compliance requirements. - Maintain proper documentation related to procurement, vendor approvals, and audits. - Support implementation of supply chain risk mitigation strategies.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

    - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, Electronics) or equivalent. - MBA/Specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred. - 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Planning. - Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Aviation, Missile Systems, Guided Weapons, Automotive, or High-Technology Manufacturing preferred. - Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), MRP, inventory management, and supplier management. - Understanding of defence manufacturing processes and program-driven supply chains is desirable.
