Job Description

Purpose/Objective

    This role is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of fertilizer sales and marketing. The role involves assessing market demand, building customer relationships, and coordinating with manufacturing and logistics teams to boost revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities of Role

    Sales & Marketing Lead - Fertilizer - HO - O4 Demand Planning and Sales Management: - Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve x% annual growth in fertilizer sales across all target regions. - Conduct in-depth market analysis to anticipate regional demand, ensuring optimized production planning that minimizes inventory overstock or shortages. Market and Competitor Analysis: - Leverage data-driven models to analyze competitor pricing and market trends, identifying opportunities for market expansion. - Implement dynamic pricing strategies that strengthen market positioning and drive substantial growth in market share. Customer Relationship Management: - Build and maintain long-term relationships with municipalities, nurseries, farmers, and gardening kit dealers and distributors, achieving retention of B2B customers. - Drive engagement with state agricultural departments, NGOs, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), C&F, channel partners to unlock new sales channels and create market access. - Finalize agreements and NDAs with PSUs and private organizations, securing contracts for considerable percentage of annual production. Product Distribution and Logistics Oversight: - Collaborate with Field Assistants and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of fertilizers to dealers and distributors. - Ensure efficient coordination between production and marketing to meet demand requirements for B2B and B2C channels. - Develop structured sales training programs to enhance team capabilities in product knowledge and market strategy execution. - Identify and develop new product segments based on emerging market needs, expanding the company's presence in digital and e-commerce platforms. Branding and Promotion: - Elevate brand visibility through strategic participation in agricultural exhibitions, industry forums, and knowledge-sharing events. - Expand market reach through targeted social media campaigns, ensuring brand engagement with diverse customer segments. - Execute marketing campaigns that increase ATBL's fertilizer brand visibility, ensuring successful launch of new products tailored to regional demands. - Enhance customer experience by developing technical product literature, including leaflets and catalogs, while driving innovative product development initiatives. - Organize large-scale farmer engagement programs to build trust and educate end-users on product benefits and applications. - Provide insights on designing effective packaging solutions to Team Lead Fertilizer on the basis of customer preferences and logistics arrangements. Stakeholder Management: - Ensure on-time delivery of products to customers by coordinating with Field Assistants in planning and implementing effective distribution strategies. - Strengthen relationships with distributors through structured product training and engagement programs to enhance sales performance. - Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute marketing initiatives that reinforce brand positioning and drive sustained business growth. - Liaise with external stakeholders to sustain effective long-term agreements and customer recall. Qualifications and Experience

    Educational Qualification: M. Sc. in Agriculture or related fields, MBA in Agri Business Management is preferred. Work Experience: Minimum 6+ yearsof relevant experience in marketing roles, preferably in fertilizer marketing. Preferred Industry: Experience in the CBG or fertilizer industry is preferred.
