Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance (Pumps)@ Crompton

Job Summary:

Responsible for Outsource Quality Function including In process inspection and type testing, Pre dispatch inspection able to do product audit, defect analysis at field , Convergent with Integrated Management System (IMS), NPD Activities.

Business Impact:

This position will support to PL Quality Head in developing/maintaining quality of products at Vendors end and reduction in customer complaint and cost of quality.

Role & responsibilities:

• Inspection & examination lead time and developing quality of products on continuous basis.
• Analysis of non-conformances of incoming, in process and delivered products and plan corrective and preventive actions in co-ordination with the vendor quality in charge and other departments in Pumps Division as well as at Vendor Location (customer complaint, handling process etc.).
• Involvement in product & process audits and tracking action summary for improvements
• Give feedback/deviations to internal & external customers complaint and do 8D analysis on it.
• Implement Quality techniques/tools to resolve major nonconformities in components/products.
• Awareness about Process mapping, control plan, FMEA , PPAP.
• Rejection/ Rework analysis with 8D Methodology.
• Vendor audits and corrective / preventive actions.
• Attending customer complaints and remedial actions: involvement in third party regulatory inspection and related documents like ISI/BEE Marking
• Co ordination between Design, Mfg. and Material Mgt. for all activities.
• Handling product type testing activities
• Awareness for Quality management system (QMS-ISO 9001), documentation.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 5-7+ years of experience in QA field in engineering industries, with experience of pump sets, various machining activities, enable to handle Electrical motors, Solar controllers.
• Exposure to Solar pumping system installation & services on quality front end.
• Experience in Pump/Motor industry will be an added advantage.
• Handling third party/customer inspections.
