Job Summary

Role position: Investment Finance supports the accounting, reporting, and analysis of the investment portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial outputs across GAAP and STAT frameworks.

• Manages end-of-the-end processes including data aggregation, accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
• Supports regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, RBC) and financial disclosures
• Provides variance analysis and insights for leadership decision-making

The function operates in a time-sensitive, high-control environment and is increasingly leveraging automation and AI to reduce manual effort, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency

Responsibilities

• Perform ledger vs. sub-ledger reconciliations across investment accounts (securities, mortgages, derivatives, etc.)
• Execute system-based reconciliations (e.g., ReconNet matching) to ensure completeness and accuracy of balance
• Prepare daily / monthly / quarterly reconciliations and ensure timely sign-off
• Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciling items and variances within defined timelines

Education

CA/CPA

Skills

• Strong understanding of finance operations processes and control requirements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power automate and cloud platforms to support scalable operations.
• Analytical problem-solving and issue resolution
• Process governance, compliance, and risk awareness
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Working knowledge of ERP platforms and reporting tools
• Continuous improvement mindset with focus on standardization and efficiency
• Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume operational environment
