Job Description

Location: Chennai (Velachery)
Experience: 7-15 Years
Shift: Night Shift (US Healthcare Support)


Key Responsibilities:


1. IT Infrastructure Management

  • Maintain and monitor servers, systems, networks, and endpoints across operations floors.
  • Ensure high uptime for applications used in Medical Coding, Billing, and AR processes.
  • Manage system performance, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.

2. Network & System Administration

  • Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Firewalls, VPN, and LAN/WAN.
  • Administer Windows/Linux servers, system security patches, and upgrades.
  • Support remote access systems for night shift and client connectivity (US clients).

3. Healthcare IT Application Support

  • Provide technical support for healthcare tools such as:
    • EMR/EHR systems
    • Medical Coding platforms
    • Billing/RCM software
  • Ensure minimum downtime for production teams (Coders, AR Callers).

4. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise IT support engineers and system administrators.
  • Ensure SLA-based ticket resolution and user support.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on IT best practices and systems.

5. IT Helpdesk & User Support

  • Oversee day-to-day IT support activities for internal users.
  • Resolve escalated issues related to system access, applications, and hardware.
  • Maintain documentation for incidents, root cause analysis, and resolution.

6. Security & Compliance (Critical)

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and data security standards.
  • Implement endpoint security, antivirus, patch management, and firewall rules.
  • Monitor unauthorized access and ensure data confidentiality.

7. Vendor & Asset Management

  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, AMC renewals, and issue resolution.
  • Manage IT assets (systems, laptops, servers, accessories).
  • Track software licenses and compliance.

8. IT Projects & Improvements

  • Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades and migration projects.
  • Improve IT processes supporting healthcare delivery operations.
  • Support automation initiatives to enhance productivity.

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in IT / Computer Science / Related Field

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows Server / Linux OS
    • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
    • Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewall)
    • VPN and remote access tools
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS preferred)
    • Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and helpdesk tools

Domain Advantage (Highly Preferred)

  • Experience in Healthcare BPO / RCM / Medical Coding environment
  • Familiarity with:
    • EMR/EHR systems
    • HIPAA compliance
    • US Healthcare workflow

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team handling experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle night shift operations and critical situations
  • Good communication and stakeholder management

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CCNA / MCSE / ITIL
  • AWS / Azure certifications
  • Security certifications (added advantage)
