Assistant Manager- HSE

Role & responsibilities

• Implement DESC Minimum Safety Standards uniformly across the country and ensure 100+% compliance of sites for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
• Train warehouse staff on DESC Minimum Safety & Health Policy and the 8 Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct audits of warehouses to ensure site compliance.
• Address incidents reported and ensure they are not repeated, sharing lessons learned with other sites.
• Establish a Safety Pack for new customers/warehouses before their Go Live.
• Provide technical expertise and solutions to safety, environment, and health issues.
• Support the implementation of the Environment, Safety & Health Management System in Asia Pacific.
• Maintain documentation related to Environment, Safety, and Health Systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for audits and certifications.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good presentation, training, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Project management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Environment, Safety, and Health management systems.
