Assistant Manager Design

Position: Assistant Manager Design Division: Engineering / Design Location: Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, India Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sugar machinery / heavy engineering industry

Qualification: M.E. in Mechanical Engineering


We are looking for an Assistant Manager Design for our Ahilyanagar Factory. The candidate will report to the department head. Responsibilities include: A. Equipment Design & Engineering

Design and development of various types of heat exchangers used in sugar process plants. Preparation of design calculations, thermal calculations, and detailed fabrication drawings. Selection of suitable materials considering pressure, temperature, and process requirements.

Design and engineering of agitators, mixers, and process vessels used in sugar and allied industries.

Preparation of GA drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings. Ensuring compliance with design standards and process requirements.

Preparation of mechanical design calculations for process equipment such as tanks, vessels, piping supports, and structural components.

Checking of fabrication drawings and BOM before release to production. Coordination with manufacturing for design clarifications.

Preparation of detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD / SolidWorks / other design software. Preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications. Maintaining design records, revisions, and documentation control.

Coordination with production, procurement, and project teams for smooth execution of design requirements.

Providing technical support to manufacturing during fabrication and assembly stages. Supporting site teams for installation-related design clarifications.

Technical review of vendor drawings and design submissions. Support procurement team in technical evaluation of equipment and components.

Ensuring designs comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and company engineering practices.

Participation in design reviews and improvement of engineering processes.

We are looking for: Strong knowledge of Heat Exchangers, Agitators, and Process Equipment Design. Experience in sugar industry machinery / process equipment manufacturing will added

advantages. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar design software. Good understanding of mechanical design calculations and fabrication practices. Ability to coordinate with production, projects, and procurement teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sugar machinery / heavy engineering industry.
