Assistant Manager - Design (Interior)

Brief Summary

This Role will be responsible for leading the interior design and overseeing the development and execution of innovative and captivating interior designs for our jewelry stores. You will play a crucial role in creating an engaging and luxurious shopping environment that reflects the ORRA brand while enhancing the overall customer experience. In addition, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive growth in our retail business.

Brief Job Description:

1. Lead and manage a team of interior designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

2. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging team members' professional growth.

3. Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to optimize team performance.

4. Develop and implement the interior design strategy for ORRA Fine Jewellery stores, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, customer preferences, and market trends.

5. Research and analyze industry trends, competitor designs, and customer preferences to maintain a competitive edge in store design and aesthetics.

6. Collaborate with stakeholders, including marketing, operations, and merchandising, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of the design strategy.

7. Oversee the creation of captivating store layouts, fixtures, displays, and signage that enhance the customer experience and promote product visibility.

8. Ensure compliance with brand standards and guidelines, maintaining consistency across all stores.

9. Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

10. Collaborate with external architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.

11. Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, provide guidance, and resolve any design-related issues.

12. Effectively communicate design concepts, strategies, and project updates to stakeholders at all levels.

Skill Required

1. Bachelors degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

2. Proven experience (5+ years) in interior design, preferably within the retail or luxury industry.

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D visualization software (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max), and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

4. Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, and construction techniques.

5. Demonstrated ability to translate brand identity into tangible design concepts.

6. Keen eye for aesthetics, detail-oriented approach, and an ability to innovate while maintaining brand integrity.

7. Understanding of retail business dynamics, market trends, and customer behavior.
