Assistant Manager / Manager - QC

We are looking for a Assistant Manager / Manager - Quality Control with strong expertise in pressure vessel manufacturing, fabrication inspection, welding, NDT, and quality documentation for Ambernath location.

Job description :

• Monitor incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections and raise NCRs where required
• Conduct RCA and CAPA for quality issues
• Manage vendor inspections, audits, evaluations, and vendor quality performance
• Coordinate pipe, tube, and material inspections at vendor/manufacturer premises
• Prepare and maintain technical quality documentation, including MOC, IPR, welding, and inspection records
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Design, and Production teams
• Implement and monitor QMS within the QC department
• Analyze quality data and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare and implement SOPs, Work Instructions, Procedures, and Process Flowcharts
• Lead and manage the QC team while ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, Section V, and Section IX
• Knowledge of PED, NDT, welding inspection, WPS/PQR/WPQ, and welder qualification
• Experience in inspection of pipes, tubes, pressure vessels, and stainless-steel materials
• Knowledge of QAP, IPR, NCR, CAPA, deviation logs, rework instructions, weld maps, and calibration records
• Familiarity with TPI agencies such as TUV, SGS, Lloyds, Bureau Veritas, and BIS
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 QMS
• Ability to prepare SOPs, Work Instructions, Quality Manuals, and inspection procedures
