Assistant Librarian

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Manage daily operations of the library, ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining high standards of service quality.
• Develop and implement effective strategies for promoting literacy, education, and research within the institution.
• Provide guidance on academic writing, citation styles, and research techniques to students and faculty members.
• Maintain accurate records of library collections, circulation statistics, and user behavior.

Job Requirements :

• Master's degree in Library Science (MLIS) or related field with 1-8 years of experience as an Assistant Librarian or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of librarian activities such as cataloguing, classification systems, digitization projects etc. .
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse groups including students, faculty members staff.
