Job Description Area Legal Manager ((APF Central) - Gurgaon


Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Due Diligence

  • Conduct legal scrutiny and title verification of property documents for Home Loans, Loan Against Property (LAP), and Affordable Housing cases.

  • Examine ownership chain, title flow, encumbrances, revenue records, approvals, and statutory compliances.

  • Identify legal risks and recommend suitable mitigants prior to loan disbursement.

  • Provide legal opinions within defined turnaround timelines (TAT).

2. Mortgage Documentation

  • Ensure accurate execution of loan and security documents and creation of mortgages.

  • Verify compliance with legal documentation requirements before loan disbursement.

  • Support Operations and Sales teams in resolving documentation-related issues and deficiencies.

  • Monitor registration processes and ensure safekeeping of original property documents.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • LLB/LLM from a recognized university.

  • 5 - 07years of experience in legal due diligence and mortgage documentation, preferably in Housing Finance, NBFC, or Banking sectors.

  • Strong understanding of property laws, registration processes, and title verification.

  • Good analytical, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases while adhering to strict TATs.

APF Project Evaluation

* Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence of residential and commercial projects proposed for APF. Examine title documents, ownership records, chain of title, development agreements, sale deeds, conveyance deeds, lease deeds, and other property-related documents.

Verify approvals and permissions obtained from statutory and regulatory authorities.

* Identify legal risks and recommend suitable risk mitigation measures before project approval.
