Architectural Draftsman

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of Architectural Drawings

• Prepare detailed architectural working drawings based on concept designs.
• Draft floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and detailed drawings.
• Develop GFC (Good for Construction) drawings for execution.

1. CAD Drafting

• Create and modify drawings using software such as:
  • AutoCAD

1. Coordination with Design Team

• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and interior designers.
• Incorporate consultant inputs into architectural drawings.

1. Working Drawing Development

• Prepare detailed drawings including:
  • Door-window schedules
  • Staircase details
  • Toilet details
  • Flooring layouts
  • Ceiling layouts
  • Fa ade details
  • Joinery and architectural detailing

1. Authority Approval Drawings

• Assist in preparation of submission drawings as per local development regulations (e.g., GDCR, fire NOC, hospital norms, authority approvals).
• Revise drawings based on authority comments.

1. Site Coordination Documentation

• Support site execution team with updated drawings.
• Issue revised drawings and maintain drawing revision logs.
• Coordinate with contractors to clarify drawing details.

1. Quantity Area Support

• Assist in calculation of:
  • Basic quantity take-offs from drawings

1. Drawing Management

• Organize and maintain drawing records and project folders.
• Ensure latest revisions are circulated to all stakeholders.
• Maintain drawing register and documentation standards.

Qualification:

• Bachelor s degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in commercial or residential design projects is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of lighting design principles and integration.
• Experience with project management and client relations.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and materials.

Experience: 4+ years
