The Role
The Architect will lead the design and implementation of enterprise platforms and solutions with a strong focus on Project Portfolio Management (PPM) capabilities. This role combines strategic architecture, technical leadership, and functional expertise in PPM to enable efficient project execution and portfolio governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design
- • Define end-to-end architecture for enterprise platforms and PPM solutions
- • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems (cloud/on-premise)
- • Establish architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices
- • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for PPM platforms
- PPM Strategy & Implementation
- • Lead implementation of PPM solutions (ServiceNow PPM, Clarity, Planview, Jira, MS Project)
- • Define portfolio governance models, workflows, and lifecycle frameworks
- • Align project portfolios with business strategy and KPIs
- • Drive standardization of project planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Integration & Data Architecture
- • Design integration architecture between PPM tools and enterprise systems (ERP, Finance, HR, CRM)
- • Ensure data consistency, governance, and reporting accuracy
- • Define APIs, middleware, and data pipelines for seamless connectivity
- Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
- • Act as a trusted advisor to business, PMO, and IT leadership
- • Translate business needs into architecture blueprints and roadmaps
- • Lead cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, and analysts
- Delivery & Governance
- • Oversee solution delivery ensuring adherence to architecture standards
- • Conduct design reviews and ensure quality assurance
- • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Architecture & Technical Skills
- • Proven experience as Solution Architect / Platform Architect / Enterprise Architect
- • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- • Strong knowledge of system design, APIs, microservices, integrations
- • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation frameworks
- PPM Expertise
Deep understanding of Project Portfolio Management concepts
- Project lifecycle management
- Resource & capacity planning
- Financial management (budgeting, forecasting)
Hands-on experience with PPM tools:
- ServiceNow PPM
- Planview / Clarity
- Jira Align / MS Project
- Data & Reporting
- • Experience designing dashboards, analytics, and reporting frameworks
- • Understanding of data models and governance in PPM systems
- Soft Skills
- • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- • Strategic thinking with problem-solving mindset
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- • Certifications: TOGAF, PMP, PRINCE2, ServiceNow
- • Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS Architect)
- • Experience in large-scale enterprise or consulting environments
