Application Support Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 production support for SQL databases, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems efficiently.
  
• Offer technical guidance to junior team members on application support and productivity improvement techniques.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues related to database performance tuning, data migration, and query optimization.
  
• Develop expertise in multiple technologies such as SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL, PowerShell scripting languages.
  
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints through effective communication and issue escalation procedures.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-4 years of experience in L2 Production Support role with a strong background in SQL Support (DB2/MSSQL).
  
• Bachelor's degree in Any Specialization (B.Tech / B.E.).
  
• Strong understanding of relational databases (DB2/MSSQL) including indexing strategies, query optimization techniques.
  
• Proficiency in writing efficient stored procedures using T-SQL language.
