Application Engineer

Role & responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Deliver ambitious sales growth
• Business development in assigned focus markets
• Specification and product approval with Institutions and OEMs

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a deep understanding of adhesive product technologies and applications.
• Develop strong business relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at large manufacturers.
• Develop a healthy project pipeline to propel the business growth.
• Travelling regularly within the assigned territory.
• Meeting prospective clients daily, understanding their needs, and recommending right solutions.
• Timely submissions of sales reports. Prospective candidate must respect and adhere to deadlines.

KEY INTERACTIONS

External Customers

• Meet with prospective clients/customers daily to assess their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Establish and nurture strong business relationships.
• This includes regular meetings, product demonstrations, and ongoing support to build strong, long-term relationships.

Internal

• Reporting Manager:Regularly communicate with your reporting manager to provide updates on client interactions, sales progress, and any challenges faced, ensuring alignment with team objectives and goals.
• Purchase Manager: Collaborate with the purchase manager to ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and supplies to meet customer demands and project timelines.
• Accounts Team: Work closely with the accounts team to manage client billing, payment inquiries.
• Management Team: Interact with the management team to report on sales performance, discuss strategic initiatives, and align on business goals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualification Essential: B.E. (Mechanical)
• Total Experience Required (In yrs.) 2- 5 years
• Understanding of adhesive product technologies and applications.

Functional / Technical Expertise

• Pre-sales and Technical Consultation
• Knowledge of the technical specifications, operational limitations, and engineering principles behind the product
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting
