Job Description
Job Summary
You will lead the design, governance, and continuous enhancement of enterprise application architectures to drive digital modernization and strategic business goals across legacy and modern software systems. Initially aligned with the Central Function, you will establish technology roadmaps, shape overarching application strategies, and design scalable cloud-native architectures. Your primary responsibilities include architecting robust system integrations, enforcing strong security standards, ensuring high availability, and optimizing operational frameworks to support smooth, long-term application transformation.
What you will do - Enforce Compliance Standards: Evaluate system designs to ensure the technology ecosystem strictly complies with enterprise architecture standards and stringent corporate security policies.
- Drive Architecture Choices: Collaborate actively with business leaders, project managers, development teams, and external vendors to synthesize complex technical details and drive decisive architecture choices.
- Conduct Architecture Reviews: Lead thorough architectural reviews and comprehensive risk assessments across applications to maximize operational stability and minimize system vulnerabilities.
- Evaluate Emerging Tech: Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies and modern software tools to optimize long-term application lifecycle management (ALM).
- Create Architectural Diagrams: Author and design net-new architectural blueprints, structural diagrams, and data models to map end-to-end system topologies.
- Map Integration Workflows: Map complex integration workflows, API orchestrations, and data exchange pathways between internal platforms and external vendor systems.
- Author Design Specifications: Create highly detailed functional and technical design specifications to guide both application development and application management services (AMS).
- Align Cross-Functional Groups: Bridge communication gaps between application development squads and infrastructure groups to maintain a stable, secure, and unified deployment environment.
You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused - someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
Required Skills Experience - Experience: 6+ years of proven experience working as an Application Enterprise Architect in both support and development roles.
- Global Environments: Demonstrated experience working in large, globally distributed environments managing multiple legacy and strategic (modern) applications supported by diverse, multi-vendor teams (e.g., Kyndryl, client, and third-party partners).
- Architecture Design: Deep expertise in Enterprise and Application Architecture, Microservices, API Architecture, and Integration Technologies.
- Cloud DevOps: Strong hands-on knowledge of Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) alongside DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Technical Frameworks: Robust understanding of Database Design, Data Architecture, and Security/Compliance Frameworks.
- Enterprise Frameworks: Familiarity with TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) or equivalent enterprise architecture methodologies.
- Application ERP Portfolio: Knowledge and experience working with multiple custom and ERP/COTS packages across both legacy and modern applications, including some of the following: JDE, Peoplesoft, SAP, Workday, Maconomy, Dynamics 365 (Finance / CRM), or Adept.
- Database Development Roots: Prior hands-on development experience in core programming technologies such as Java, .NET, or VB, combined with working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Databases.
- Service Management Agile: Strong foundational understanding of Agile methodologies and ITIL processes/service management, specifically key components of AMS services (Incidents, Service Requests, Small Changes/SER, and Large Changes/AD work orders).
- Documentation Tooling: Proven capability in creating detailed requirements documents, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and comprehensive designs; familiarity with software test tools.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills with the ability to consolidate complex technical details and drive clear decisions across diverse teams.
- Education: Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration (MBA), or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as TOGAF certification, Cloud Architecture credentials (AWS, Azure, GCP), or ITIL certifications.
