Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Apparel Designer based in the United States to support the design and development of collections for major US retail customers. The ideal candidate will combine strong creative ability with a commercial understanding of the American fashion market and work closely with global product development and sourcing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design seasonal apparel collections aligned with customer briefs and market trends.
- Research fashion, color, fabric, and silhouette trends relevant to the US market.
- Develop mood boards, concept presentations, sketches, and technical design packs.
- Collaborate with merchandising, product development, and overseas sourcing teams to bring concepts into production.
- Participate in customer presentations and incorporate design feedback into final collections.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable while maintaining creativity and brand relevance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet development timelines and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in apparel design.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and currently based in the United States. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating contemporary apparel design and product development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other industry-standard design tools.
- Experience creating technical sketches, CADs, and specification packs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience designing for US fashion retailers or brands.
Exposure to working with global sourcing and manufacturing partners. Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.
