API Mavericks Platform Engineer

The Role

The team drives developer enablement by providing clear API standards, reusable integration components, and easy-to-use tools that help internal and external developers quickly build and manage high-quality APIs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As an IT Engineer within the API Mavericks team, you will play a key role in designing and building integration platforms in line with architectural standards and development guidelines. Together with your team, you will also design and develop internal data models that underpin integration capabilities across the organization.

You will design, develop, test, version, and monitor APIs to ensure reliable and high-performing integrations. You will work across the full development lifecycle, building and maintaining applications.

Beyond delivery, you will actively contribute to continuous improvement within the team by enhancing technical documentation, raising code quality standards and sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

Hard Skills

• Strong experience in python development, with the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable services
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services, App Services, Functions, Azure DevOps
• expertise in API design, RESTful services, and API management practices
• Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, including setting up, optimizing, and maintaining end-to-end deployment workflows
• Strong understanding of data models and system integration patterns, with the ability to design robust and scalable integrations
• Clear communication with team members and stakeholders
• Ability to plan and deliver tasks on time
• Problem-solving with focus on practical solutions
• Willingness to learn and apply new tools
• Attention to detail in coding and documentation
• Teamwork and knowledge sharing

Preferred Skills:

• intermediate experience with Mendix, with the ability to contribute to low-code development and support existing applications
• Foundational knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
