Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Core Java, Selenium Automation, API Automation using Rest Assured, and SQL. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks, developing reusable automation utilities, and validating complex backend systems.This role requires strong coding skills and the ability to independently build and maintain automation solutions for web applications and APIs.
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber BDD.
- Develop API automation scripts using Rest Assured and validate complex JSON/XML responses.
- Create reusable utilities, libraries, and framework components.
- Perform UI, API, Database, and End-to-End test automation.
- Write complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Integrate automation suites with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to test strategy, estimation, and planning.
- Ensure automation coverage for business-critical functionalities.
Preferred candidate profile
- 5+ years of Automation Testing experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of Rest Assured API Automation experience.
- Strong coding expertise in Core Java.
- Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks.
- Ability to write reusable and generic automation solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
