Urgent Opening for Canvendor
Position: API Automation Test Engineer
Location: Chennai
Experience: 5+ Years
Notice period: Immediate to 15 days
Key Requirements:
- Design and execute automated test cases for REST and SOAP APIs.
- Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using JavaScript, Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Validate API requests/responses, status codes, headers, authentication, schemas, and business rules.
- Test integrations between insurance applications, core insurance systems, portals, and external systems.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and negative API testing.
- Validate insurance business scenarios across policy, claims, underwriting, billing, payments, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
- Perform backend data validation using SQL queries.
- Validate data consistency across APIs, databases, and integrated applications.
- Test authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and SSO.
- Analyze API failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers and functional teams to resolve defects.
- Integrate automated test suites with Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare test data, test scenarios, automation scripts, and test execution reports.
- Participate in requirement analysis and identify integration and business-rule testing scenarios.
- Support API performance and load testing where required.
- Maintain automation frameworks and test scripts as APIs and business requirements evolve.
