Job Description

Role: Android Mobile Apps Developer
Experience: 5+ yrs
Type: Remote

Role Overview

The Android Mobile Apps Developer will be responsible for integrating third-party functionality, SDKs, and vendor-provided screens into existing Android applications. This role will work within an established Android codebase, ensuring seamless integration, performance optimization, and compliance with Android and Google Play Store best practices.

The developer will collaborate closely with product, backend, and QA teams to support rapid delivery and stable releases in an active project environment.

Technical Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing native Android applications

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java experience is a plus)

  • Solid experience working with existing or legacy Android codebases

  • Hands-on experience integrating third-party SDKs, APIs, and mobile platforms

  • Strong understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based UI development

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile application architecture

  • Experience with Android app lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

  • Experience troubleshooting integration-related issues and debugging Android applications

  • Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines

  • Experience supporting internal testing and production release processes

Nice to Have

  • Experience with authentication SDKs, payment integrations, analytics tools, or loyalty platforms

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for Android applications

  • Previous contract or consulting experience

  • Familiarity with Firebase, Crashlytics, or similar mobile monitoring tools

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and distributed teams
