Your role

As an Android App Engineer with Capgemini, your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features, ensure seamless user experiences, and optimize app performance across diverse Android devices and OS versions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leveraging modern tools like Kotlin and Jetpack to push mobile technologies forward.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Develop and maintain Android application for a public-facing app
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to optimize user experience
• Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin, Java, and the Android SDK.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, incorporating unit and integration tests to uphold code quality.
• Integrate third-party APIs, services, and libraries to enhance functionality.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain app reliability
  
  

Your profile

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with hands-on experience in Android Studio and the Android SDK and Proficiency in Android Studio IDE for Android app development with 3-5 yrs Exp.
• Proven track record of published apps on the Google Play Store, demonstrating real-world impact.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating backend services.
• In-depth knowledge Android frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, emulator (AVD), memory/boot optimizations, and multi-threading.
• Familiarity with UI frameworks (e.g., Jetpack Compose, XML layouts) and design tools (e.g., Figma).
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles
• Version control using Git
