Android Application Developer - Java/Kotlin (5-8 yrs)

Description :

- The role requires strong technical knowledge of Android SDK, Android Jetpack Components, application architecture patterns, API integrations, and performance optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Java and Kotlin.

- Build scalable, responsive, and high-performance mobile applications for Android platforms.

- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

- Develop reusable and maintainable code following Android development best practices.

- Implement modern Android architecture patterns such as MVC, MVP, and MVVM.

- Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into Android applications.

- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, memory usage, and battery performance.

- Handle offline storage, multithreading, synchronization, and background processing.

- Ensure compatibility across different Android versions, devices, and screen sizes.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application crashes, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Work with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines for release management.

- Ensure adherence to Google Material Design principles and Android UI/UX guidelines.

- Stay updated with emerging Android technologies, frameworks, and development trends.

Required Skills & Expertise:

- 5-8 years of experience in Android application development.

- Strong hands-on experience in:

i. Java

ii. Kotlin

iii. Android SDK

iv. Android Jetpack Components

- Strong understanding of Android application lifecycle and architecture.

- Experience working with:

i. MVC

ii. MVP

iii. MVVM

- Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Experience with:

i. Offline storage

ii. Multithreading

iii. Performance tuning

iv. Background services

- Strong understanding of Android UI/UX standards and Google design guidelines.

- Familiarity with open-source Android libraries and frameworks.

- Proficient understanding of Git and version control systems.

- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and deployment processes.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Firebase and push notification integrations.

- Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.

- Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines or RxJava.

- Experience publishing applications on the Google Play Store.
