The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in Bengaluru, India, that strives to address classroom hunger and malnutrition in India. By implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government and government-aided schools, Akshaya Patra aims to not only improve the nutritional health of children but also to encourage them to attend school regularly. The foundation works in partnership with the Indian government, corporate donors, and individual benefactors to provide nutritious, hygienic, and freshly cooked meals to millions of children every school day.
