About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated AI/ML Engineer to join our Counter-UAS (Anti-Drone) Product Development Team. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing next-generation AI-driven drone detection and RF intelligence solutions for mission-critical defence applications. This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, RF Engineering, Embedded Systems, and Electronic Warfare while contributing to indigenous technologies designed for national security. Candidates with prior experience in defence electronics, surveillance systems, RF sensing, drone detection, or electronic warfare will be preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms for drone detection, identification, and classification. • Develop AI models for processing RF spectrum data, IQ samples, and signal intelligence datasets. • Research and implement advanced signal classification techniques using supervised and unsupervised learning methods. • Collaborate with RF, Embedded, FPGA, and Software Engineering teams for seamless system integration. • Improve detection accuracy by reducing false positives and enhancing model robustness under real-world operating conditions. • Develop scalable AI pipelines for deployment on embedded edge computing platforms. • Evaluate and benchmark AI models against operational performance requirements. • Conduct data preprocessing, feature extraction, model validation, and performance optimization. • Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, and algorithm performance metrics. • Stay updated with emerging technologies in AI, Counter-UAS, RF sensing, and Electronic Warfare

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline. • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Python Programming, Machine Learning & Deep Learning, TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Data Analytics & Feature Engineering, Digital Signal Processing Fundamentals, Linux Development Environment, Git, Model Training, Validation, and Optimization


Preferred Technical Skills

RF Signal Processing, Software Defined Radio (SDR), GNU Radio, IQ Signal Processing, RF Fingerprinting, Spectrum Monitoring & Analysis, Computer Vision (OpenCV), Embedded AI Deployment, NVIDIA Jetson Platform, Edge AI Optimization, Sensor Fusion Techniques


Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

Counter-UAS / Counter-Drone Systems, Electronic Warfare (EW), RF Surveillance Systems, Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), Defence Electronics, Radar Systems, Aerospace & Defence Technologies, RF Communication Systems.

Preference Criteria

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Prior experience in the Defence or Aerospace industry. • Hands-on experience with Counter-UAS or Drone Detection Systems. • Practical knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms such as USRP, BladeRF, HackRF, LimeSDR, or AD9361-based systems. • Experience handling RF datasets, spectrum analysis, or signal classification. • Exposure to embedded AI deployment on NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge-computing platforms. • Familiarity with military communication systems, surveillance technologies, or electronic warfare concepts
