Aem Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and customize AEM UI, workflows (custom and OOB), schedulers, and components to support studio processes.
• Design, code, and test new and existing AEM software components and templates.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve production issues and software-related bottlenecks in AEM environments.
• Maintain and enhance existing software applications while identifying security and performance improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering excellence.
• AI-Accelerated Development: Utilize AI-integrated IDEs (e.g., Cursor) and LLMs (e.g., Gemini, Qodo) to rapidly prototype, generate boilerplate, and refactor Java-based AEM services and components.
• Leverage AI tools to generate comprehensive unit tests, perform automated code reviews, and maintain high-quality documentation (Sling Models, OSGi services, and API specs) as the platform evolves.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Deep expertise in Java (Java 21+ preferred) and mastery of the AEM-specific OSGi and Sling Framework ecosystems.
• Proficiency in AEM architecture, including UI Customizations, Custom Workflows, Schedulers, and Template development.
• Familiarity with AEM monitoring tools and experience in high-traffic retail environments.
• Experience with DevOps practices, automated CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures (GCP/Kubernetes).
