Job Description: Active Directory & Office 365 Administrator

  • Seeking a highly skilled, detailoriented Active Directory and Office 365 Administrator to join our IT team.
  • Requires deep understanding of directory services, cloud collaboration platforms, identity & access management, security best practices, and enterpriselevel system administration.
  • Extensive experience in design, deployment, and maintenance of Active Directory environments and Office 365 tenant management.
  • Passion for optimizing workflow, ensuring security, and proactively supporting users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage AD domains, forests, OUs, and GPOs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve authentication, replication, trusts, and domain controller issues.
  • Manage user/computer accounts, security groups, and service accounts with strict access control.
  • Implement and maintain password policies, auditing, and privileged access management.
  • Integrate AD with Entra ID and thirdparty applications.
  • Conduct periodic AD object reviews and cleanups.
  • Manage Office 365 tenant: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams.
  • Provision/manage licenses, mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes.
  • Monitor service health, usage reports, and audit logs.
  • Troubleshoot Office 365 issues and implement retention, archiving, eDiscovery, litigation hold policies.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for AD & O365 incidents.
  • Develop documentation, user guides, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with helpdesk, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Lead/participate in IT projects: AD upgrades, O365 rollouts, integrations.
  • Contribute to planning, budgeting, and risk analysis.
  • Coordinate with vendors/external partners for enhancements and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of AD & O365 administration in mid/large enterprises.
  • Deep knowledge of AD architecture, replication, GPOs, and security.
  • Handson expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, licensing.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Familiarity with Entra ID, hybrid identity models, cloud migration.
  • Understanding of IT security, compliance, and audit standards.
  • Proven troubleshooting of complex AD/O365 issues.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Critical thinking and proactive system optimization.
  • Ability to mentor/train IT staff and endusers.
  • Project management experience with successful deployments.
