ACL Digital - Senior Networking Software Engineer - Routing Protocols (7-20 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Layer 3 networking protocols and system-level programming. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing routing protocols, Segment Routing, and MPLS technologies, along with solid C/C++ programming skills in a Linux environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and enhance Layer 3 networking protocols such as IS-IS, OSPF, and BGP.

- Work on Segment Routing technologies including SR-MPLS, OSPF-SR, IS-IS SR, TI-LFA, BFD, and QoS.

- Contribute to development and optimization of MPLS-based solutions (LDP, RSVP, BGP LU).

- Implement and support L2/L3 services over Segment Routing/MPLS (L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN).

- Develop features related to IPv4/IPv6, routing policies, access control lists, and route maps.

- Collaborate on forwarding plane software development and integration (preferably with Broadcom SDK Jericho+ chipset).

- Debug and troubleshoot complex networking and system-level issues.

- Work in a multi-threaded Linux environment, ensuring high performance and scalability.

- Use debugging and performance analysis tools like GDB, Valgrind, and GCov.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in design and development of Layer 3 networking protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP).

- Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ programming and debugging.

- Experience working in Linux-based systems with multi-threading.

- Solid understanding of IPv4/IPv6 networking, routing policies, ACLs, and route maps.

- Familiarity with networking tools for debugging and performance analysis.

Preferred Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS, OSPF-SR, IS-IS SR, TI-LFA, BFD, QoS).

- Experience with MPLS protocols such as LDP, RSVP, and BGP LU.

- Knowledge of L2VPN, L3VPN, and EVPN services.

- Exposure to Segment Routing in IPv6 data plane.
