About Role

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, direct and indirect taxation compliance, statutory and internal audit coordination, maintenance of books of accounts, and management reporting.


The role requires ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and internal control procedures while providing timely financial information to management.


Role & responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
  • Review journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and month-end closing activities.
  • Ensure proper accounting and documentation of all financial transactions.

2. Direct Taxation

  • Manage corporate income tax compliance, including advance tax computation and payment.
  • Coordinate preparation and filing of income tax returns.
  • Monitor tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.

3. Indirect Taxation

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST and other applicable indirect taxes.
  • Review GST returns, reconciliations, and tax payments.
  • Ensure proper input tax credit reconciliation and compliance.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare quarterly financial statements, schedules, and supporting documents.
  • Ensure timely closure of accounts and preparation of financial reports.

5. Management Information System (MIS)

  • Prepare and present monthly MIS reports highlighting financial performance, key variances, working capital, cash flow, and business insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical reports for management review.

6. Audit Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact for statutory auditors and internal auditors.
  • Coordinate audit schedules and provide required information, schedules, and explanations.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of recommendations.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications


  • B.com/MBA/ M.Com with CA-Inter/CMA-Inter
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, etc.) and MS Excel.
