Accounting Manager

This individual will be responsible for owning the general ledger of a fast-growing and dynamic government contractor

• Timely performance of the month-end close process including preparation of monthly financial reports
• Reconciling all G/L accounts and insuring transparency
• Manage the Payroll, AP, and AR functions.
• Liaison with HR to insure payroll, timekeeping, and leave accuracy and completeness
• Implement and manage best practice accounting and internal control procedures and ensure compliance.
• Provide direction and oversight of the annual audit process and preparation of annual financial statements.
• Assist in the compiling of all PL data
• Maintain cost pools and ensure proper allocations
• Evaluate, manage and motivate direct reports.
• Ensure compliance to GAAP, FAR, and CAS

• 5 years of progressively responsible work experience supporting accounting operations, preferably in government contracting
• BS or BA in Accounting or related field
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint required
• Supervisory experience managing staff accountants.
