Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring successful software delivery outcomes. The role involves acting as the primary point of contact for key customers, managing stakeholder expectations, coordinating with delivery teams, and driving customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Indian payments ecosystem, project management, and account management within banking or financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, banks, and financial institutions.
  • Understand customer priorities, business objectives, and pain points to provide effective solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Manage customer expectations with transparency and proactive engagement.

Project & Delivery Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with Technical Project Managers (TPMs) and delivery teams to support project planning and execution.
  • Provide inputs required for project schedules, milestones, and delivery commitments.
  • Conduct weekly project status review meetings with customers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular discussions with customer management teams to track progress and address concerns.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues, risks, and escalations impacting project delivery.

Account Growth & Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to expand engagement within existing customer accounts.
  • Build relationships across multiple departments and stakeholders within customer organizations.
  • Support sales and leadership teams in driving account growth and business expansion.
  • Contribute to strategic account planning and customer retention initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong Account Management and Customer Relationship Management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with CXO-level executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Strong project coordination and delivery management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Digital Payments.
  • Strong understanding of Indian payment systems such as UPI, IMPS, AEPS, BBPS, and related payment technologies.
  • Prior experience in software development or technical project environments.
  • Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle and project governance practices.

Qualification

  • BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • PMP or other Project Management certifications will be an added advantage.
