Job Description
Account Manager role is responsible to maintain and manage one of the territories in Mumbai by meeting and exceeding sales and unit goals. He will provide sales and technical support to customers on a regular and ongoing basis. Identify and pursue a prioritized set of accounts (new, Key potential accounts in Applied market and Pharma) to accelerate early win speed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monthly and Weekly plan for customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstration and/or technical seminar. Attend local vendor shows and company sponsored trade shows.
- Ensure that assigned territory meets sales and unit goals.
- Develop business plans, market analysis and sales strategies for assigned territory.
- Consistently maintain a positive attitude, be a team player and strive to learn and contribute to company culture and manage and maintain information in customer database system (MSCRM)
- Willingness for travelling in around respective territory up to 90% (outside), 10% (Inside)
This position reports to the District Sales Manager and is part of the Sales Team located in Mumbai and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- To Identify and explore new accounts Potential Top accounts/ accounts with high strategic or market coverage potential.
- Non pharma/Applied market: If you serve industrials, education, or government (non-regulated), map this segment s procurement cycles and procurement channels.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Master's degree or Ph.D., in any Life Science required.
- Minimum six (6) + years of experience in Sales and having analytical field /Chromatography experience in Pharma/ Bio- Pharma and applied markets
- Very good interpersonal skills as well as listening and communication skills.
- Motivation and desire to be successful with a can do approach, maintaining a positive attitude, being a Team player, striving to learn and to contribute to company culture
- Must be able to present clearly and to large groups, i.e., seminars and training.
