Job Description

An Ab Initio developer specializes in using the Ab Initio software suite for data integration, transformation, and processing . They design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions to meet an organizations business intelligence and data warehousing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and communication:
    Working with cross-functional teams, participating in design reviews, and communicating technical information effectively.
  • Adhering to development best practices:
    Ensuring code quality, following coding standards, and contributing to documentation.
  • Developing and maintaining ETL processes:
    Designing, building, and testing data pipelines using Ab Initio components.
  • Data analysis and problem-solving:
    Analyzing complex data requirements, debugging production issues, and troubleshooting data-related problems.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in Ab Initio:
    Strong understanding of Ab Initios architecture, components, and development environment.
  • Data warehousing concepts:
    Knowledge of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • SQL and databases:
    Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and writing SQL queries.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills:
    Ability to analyze complex business requirements, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication and teamwork:
    Ability to collaborate with others, present technical information, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Low-code development experience:
    Understanding of how Ab Initios visual development model enables rapid application development without extensive coding.
