  • Build and maintain generic, parameterized (PDL) and reusable components for scalable data ingestion and transformation
  • Work with EME for version control, dependency analysis and code promotion across environments
  • Write and tune complex SQL against [Teradata / Oracle / DB2 / Snowflake]; optimize joins, partitioning and data parallelism for performance
  • Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for job orchestration, file handling and automation
  • Schedule and monitor batch workflows using [Autosys / Control-M / Conduct>It]
  • Perform root-cause analysis and production support for job failures, data quality issues and SLA breaches
  • Participate in code reviews, prepare design/technical documentation and support UAT and release activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide accurate estimates

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on ETL development with Ab Initio (GDE, Co>Op, EME)
  • Strong command of Ab Initio components Partition/Departition, Rollup, Scan, Join, Reformat, Normalize, Lookup, Continuous Flows
  • Strong SQL and RDBMS concepts; experience with [Teradata/Oracle] utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad) is a plus
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts — dimensional modelling, SCDs, CDC, star/snowflake schemas
  • Experience with job schedulers and production support in a 24x7 batch environment
  • Good analytical, debugging and communication skills
