Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced AB Initio Software Engineer to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data integration pipelines using the AB Initio software suite. You will play a key role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data is moved accurately and efficiently for analysis and reporting. This is a critical role for enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and implement complex ETL processes using the AB Initio suite. Develop and maintain high-performance data integration graphs and plans. Optimize AB Initio processes for performance, scalability, and reliability. Work with various data sources (files, databases, APIs) and formats. Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the ETL processes. Adhere to best practices for code development, testing, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AB Initio development. Strong expertise in the AB Initio suite, including GDE, EME, and Conduct>IT. Proficiency in SQL and good understanding of data warehousing concepts. Experience with different data formats (XML, JSON, flat files). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other ETL tools. Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure). Experience with scripting languages like Python. Knowledge of Data Quality and data governance principles.
